BEACHES

Sifnaikos Gialos

Sifnaikos Gialos is a sandy beach on the west side of the village with a sandy sea bottom and rock formations on both sides. It is a wonderful place for snorkelling but due to the north winds it can get quite wavy at times. It also has a restaurant and a snack bar nearby.

Soros

Soros beach is one of the widest and most beautiful beaches on the island. It has a sandy beach with relatively deep waters, great for snorkelling. It is perfect for beach games and has two excellent restaurants nearby for those who might get hungry.

Glyfa

Glyfa is a small sandy beach just next to the road, with no trees for shade. Crystal clear waters, sandy bottom, and a café nearby.

Psaralyki

Psaralyki is the closest beach to the settlement, and therefore the one preferred by most children, families or newcomers. It is a beautiful sandy beach with calm, clear waters. Small trees offer shade, a mobile canteen passes by once in a while but the beach café is also nearby.

Agios Georgios

Saint Giorgio is a beautiful leeward bay facing the islet of Despotiko. There are two beaches here. One narrow beach is found on the east side, and a wider one on the west. Both beaches are sandy and the waters are crystal clear. Between the two beaches you will find a lot of good tavernas to get your strength back after a good meal.

Faneromeni

Located on the northern part of the island, Faneromeni is actually two beaches close to the church which shares the same name. The one facing north-east has a moon-like landscape with a rocky sea bottom, while the second one faces south-west and is a beautiful small sandy bay.

Livadi

Livadi is a large sandy beach facing west with a sandy sea bottom. Due to its position it gets quite wavy when strong north winds blow, making it perfect for a little bit of fun in the waves.
