Psara and the East Aegean Islands in general are connected to the port of Piraeus. From Psara you
can also visit the nearby Cycladic islands of Syros,
Tinos, Mykonos, Andros etc.

In addition, there are ferry connection from Psara
ferry to the island of Rhodes, and basically all East Aegean and Dodecanese Islands via a third island.

Your trip to Psara can be with a conventional ferry
boat or by Highspeed depending on the day, the
time and the ferry company you wish to travel with.

If you select to visit Psara with the conventional
ferry your trip will take about 7-9.30 hours while
with a Highspeed ferry 5.30-6.30 hours depending
on how many ports the ferry will call at on the way.

Ferries from Piraeus to Psara run all year round
on a daily basis. In summer of course there are
more departures to choose from.

Mavri Rahi

At Mavri Rahi there are the walls and loopholes of 1821’s revolution, as well as Hellenistic houses that date back to the 3rd until the 1st century BC. At the south west part of the island, archaeologists found Mycenaean graves of which 65 graves date back to the first half of the 14th century A.D. The remains, which came out, are on the coastline and are of the same period as the funeral gifts and are storage areas with earthenware jars.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

From today, August 13, 2020 a new decree by the Italian Minister of Health has come into force providing the following alternative measures which apply to people entering Italy after staying in, or transiting from Croatia, Malta, Greece or Spain in the last 14 days:

a. Obligation to present a certificate showing a negative result of a swab, done within the 72 hours prior to entry in Italy.

or

b. Obligation to undergo a molecular or antigen test carried out through a swab upon arrival at the Italian airport, port or border place, where possible; or carried out, within 48 hours from entering the Italian territory, at the competent Italian National Public Health clinic. In this latter case, while waiting for the examination test, people are due to wait in fiduciary isolation at their place of residence or dwelling.

All people, regardless of symptoms, entering Italy from the above mentioned countries are due to immediately inform the Prevention Department of the competent Italian National Health office about their arrival. In the event of outbreaks of symptoms of Covid 19, the obligation of immediate information to Italian Health Authority (through the relevant phone number) as well as of self-isolation remain into force.
