Ships and Ferries to Kythnos - Cycladic Islands.

Kythnos and the Cyclades in general are connected
to the ports of Piraeus and Lavrio. From Kythnos
you can also visit the nearby Cycladic islands of
Kea, Syros, Kimolos, Serifos, Sifnos, Milos etc.

In addition, there are ferry connection from Kythnos
ferry to the islands of Crete, Rhodes, and basically all Dodecanese and East Aegean Islands via a third island.

Your trip to Kythnos can be with a conventional ferry boat, by Highspeed or Flying dolphin depending on
the day, the time and the ferry company you wish
to travel with.

If you select to visit Kythnos with the conventional
ferry your trip will take about 5-7 hours while with
a Highspeed ferry 3.5-4.5 hours depending on how
many ports the ferry will call at on the way.

KYTHNOS > AREAS

Hora

Hora, is built on the ridge of the hill 8 km from the port of Meriha and is the island’s largest settlement. Built in the 17th century, it preserves the traditional Cycladian architecture with stone, whitewashed houses, archways, windmills and narrow and cobblestone alleys.

Dryopida

The area has been inhabited ever since antiquity, preserving its original name.

During your stay in the village you can indulge in strolls around the traditional settlement – the island’s second largest after Hora – with picturesque cobblestone alleys, two-storey houses with characteristic red roofs and historical churches. Here you can also find the Folklore Museum and the Byzantine Ecclesiastic Museum, as well as the cave of Katafyki, where you can see impressive formations of stalactites and stalagmites.

Loutra

Loutra is the most popular resort on the island. Despite its significant tourist infrastructure, the area preserves its traditional character.

It is famous for its thermal springs, the therapeutic properties of which have been known ever since antiquity. The two thermal springs of Kythnos are unique in the Cyclades complex.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

From today, August 13, 2020 a new decree by the Italian Minister of Health has come into force providing the following alternative measures which apply to people entering Italy after staying in, or transiting from Croatia, Malta, Greece or Spain in the last 14 days:

a. Obligation to present a certificate showing a negative result of a swab, done within the 72 hours prior to entry in Italy.

or

b. Obligation to undergo a molecular or antigen test carried out through a swab upon arrival at the Italian airport, port or border place, where possible; or carried out, within 48 hours from entering the Italian territory, at the competent Italian National Public Health clinic. In this latter case, while waiting for the examination test, people are due to wait in fiduciary isolation at their place of residence or dwelling.

All people, regardless of symptoms, entering Italy from the above mentioned countries are due to immediately inform the Prevention Department of the competent Italian National Health office about their arrival. In the event of outbreaks of symptoms of Covid 19, the obligation of immediate information to Italian Health Authority (through the relevant phone number) as well as of self-isolation remain into force.
