to the ports of Piraeus and Rafina. From Iraklia
you can also visit the nearby Cycladic islands of
Ios, Santorini, Kimolos, Naxos, Anafi, Milos etc.

In addition, there are ferry connection from Iraklia
ferry to the islands of Crete, Rhodes, and basically all Dodecanese and East Aegean Islands via a third island.

Your trip to Iraklia can be with a conventional ferry boat, by Highspeed or Flying dolphin depending on
the day, the time and the ferry company you wish
to travel with.

If you select to visit Iraklia with the conventional
ferry your trip will take about 5-7 hours while with
a Highspeed ferry 3.5-4.5 hours depending on how
many ports the ferry will call at on the way.

IRAKLIA > OVERVIEW

Iraklia or Heraklia was known as Agios Georgios in olden times. It is the larger of a cluster of small islands amid the islands of Naxos, Ios and Amorgos. There are three settlements: Agios Athanassios, Panagia and Agios Georgios, the harbour of the island. The majority of residents live in Agios Georgios.

The beaches vary from fine golden sand to pebbles and the coastline has low rocky outcrops which are steep in some places. One common characteristic of the coastline is the crystal clear waters.

The island is ideal for quiet relaxing holidays away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

From today, August 13, 2020 a new decree by the Italian Minister of Health has come into force providing the following alternative measures which apply to people entering Italy after staying in, or transiting from Croatia, Malta, Greece or Spain in the last 14 days:

a. Obligation to present a certificate showing a negative result of a swab, done within the 72 hours prior to entry in Italy.

or

b. Obligation to undergo a molecular or antigen test carried out through a swab upon arrival at the Italian airport, port or border place, where possible; or carried out, within 48 hours from entering the Italian territory, at the competent Italian National Public Health clinic. In this latter case, while waiting for the examination test, people are due to wait in fiduciary isolation at their place of residence or dwelling.

All people, regardless of symptoms, entering Italy from the above mentioned countries are due to immediately inform the Prevention Department of the competent Italian National Health office about their arrival. In the event of outbreaks of symptoms of Covid 19, the obligation of immediate information to Italian Health Authority (through the relevant phone number) as well as of self-isolation remain into force.
