The intricate network of ferry routes between the coastal cities of Turkey and the Greek islands offers a seamless transition between two very rich cultures. With frequent departures to and from the beautiful Greek islands of Chios, Lesvos, Rhodes, Kos and Samos with the picturesque Turkish cities of Cesme, Kusadasi, Ayvalik, Marmaris, Bodrum and Fethiye, you can reach your destination by ferry in just over an hour, making these routes ideal for day trips and weekend getaways.
Popular routes from Greece to Turkey are Chios-Cesme, Samos, Pythagorio-Kusadasi, Samos, Vathi-Kusadasi, Lesvos-Ayvalik, Rhodes-Marmaris, Kos-Bodrum and Rhodes-Fethiye. The ferry crossings take approx. 1hours to 1.5 hours with most departures scheduled the morning between 08:00-09:00 returning in the evening around 18:00-19:00 allowing for a fun day trip to Turkey. Of course, the departures work similarly the other way round, so if you are on the Turkish coastline, you can easily plan a short trip to a Greek island.

During the summer months there are frequent departures between the Greek islands and Turkey. On a daily basis you can usually choose between 2-3 sailings in the morning and another 2-3 ferries in the evening.
In off peak season ferries to Turkey still operate but not as frequently as in summer.
