It is primarily used for passenger travel and is located about 11 km from the Tunis town center.  You can reach the port by car, train, metro, bus, ferry or plane. If you're traveling from abroad, you can fly into Tunis-Carthage International Airport. The airport is located approximately 15 kilometers from La Goulette Port and you can reach the port by taxi or private transportation. Should you arrive in Tunis city by car through the motorway, take the Avenue Habib Bourguiba which spans the lake of Tunis and turn to Avenue du 1er Juin to the "Port de la Goulette".
