Temple of Metamorphosis

Metamorphosis temple near the River is considered to be one of the most important monuments of Byzantine architecture in Samos. The various architectural interventions that the temple has suffered at the duration of its existence have not changed its initial picture. It is a temple at a cross form, supported by four white marble columns. At the top of the columns there are capitals of Corinthian rhythm that give particular glamour to the monument.

Metropolitan temple of Kimisi tis Theotokou (Assumption of Virgin Mary)

The metropolitan temple of Assumption of Virgin Mary was built at the end of 19th century. The municipal Council of Karlobasi decided, at April 1887, that three smaller churches should be demolished in order to build the Cathedral. The current Cathedral represents the magnificence of ecclesiastical architecture.
