Folkloric Museum

In Chora, in the region of Kato Chora, you will find the Folklore Museum which is housed in a traditional building. It is worth visiting to admire the important findings. You will see traditional costumes, domestic utensils, porcelains and a large collection of items made from the island’s minerals.

In the back of the museum there is an open theatre (with a capacity for 300 people) where important cultural events are held.

Archaeological Museum

The Archaeological Museum of Serifos is situated at the Mills’ square in Chora and it contains findings of the Classic, the Hellenistic and the Roman Eras that came from various parts of the island. Some of the most important exhibits in the museum include a series of headless statues and a collection of amphoras.
