Chora

Hora, as it is locally called, is the capital of the island and, without doubt, the most memorable town. The middle-ages style houses, the neo-classical and island-type homes, in addition to the narrow alleys, the museums and the beaches, are the main attractions for visitors to the town.

Batsi

Batsi is the most important tourist resort in Andros. It is 27km from Chora and 8km from Gavrio. It is a traditional coastal village, built in a cove. It is surrounded by beautiful scenery, while the true ornament of the region is its magical beach. Batsi is distinguished for its tourist infrastructure. You will find hotel units and rooms to let of all categories. Bars, clubs, taverns and many restaurants are also to be found.

Gavrio

Gavrio is the main port of Andros. It is located in the north part of the island, 30km from Chora. Around the port and in the whole settlement are hotels and rooms to let. The variety of entertainment satisfies all tastes. From Gavrio you can explore the north part of the island.

Ormos of Korthios

The cove of Korthios is a beautiful graphic fishing village in the south part of the island, located about 24km from Chora.

The houses here have been built in the traditional style of the Cycladic islands. It always enchants visitors with its beautiful beaches and the endless shores with crystal clear waters.

Mesaria

Mesaria or Mesa Meria, as locals used to call the village, is a picturesque village of inner Andros. It is 4km from Chora. According to finds on various sites it would appear that the region has been inhabited for many centuries. While touring around the village you will see the Byzantine church of Taxiarhes which dates from the 12th century and the church of Saint Nikolaos built in the 18th century.

Palaiopoli

Palaiopoli is a coastal village with historic interest as it is built in the place of the ancient city of Andros.

It is located 16km west of Chora. The excavations brought to light the remains of the ancient city and among them important findings, such as vessels and sculptures. The famous statue of the god Hermes was found here.
