The small port of Astakos is located on the western coast of Greece and is easily accessible from the center of Astakos town. Astakos is about 300 km from Athens, 56 km from Messolonghi and 51 km from Agrinio. It will take you about 3.5 hours to get there by car from Athens. If you prefer to travel by bus, the KTEL Aitoloakarnania has frequent services from Kifissos, Patras and Agrinio.
Unfortunately, no parking facilities are available at the port of Astakos. You can however find free parking spaces around the port.
From the port Astakos you can easily travel by ferry to the following islands: Ithaki, Pisaetos, Kefalonia, Sami.
