Archaeological Museum

The archaeological museum of Rhodes is housed in the Hospital of the Kings, one of the most important buildings during the rule of the Knights, and consists of a large interior courtyard surrounded by a two-storey.

The museums displays a rich and very interesting collection consisting in various statues, sarcophagus, vases, mosaics, vessels, ceramics and more.

The Municipal Art Gallery

The Municipal Art Gallery of Rhodes is located in the Medieval City, in a beautiful building standing on Symis Square.

It houses a rich, interesting and beautiful collection of the most representative Greek painters of the 20th century.

Byzantine Museum

It is located in the old town of Rhodes, inside the church of Panagia tou Kastrou, near the gate of “Mylon”. The Byzantine museum is housed inside the church of Panagia tou Kastrou, also known as Panagia tis Nikis.

The museum includes portable icons of the late- and post-Byzantine eras, among which the most important are the icons of Panagia Odigitria dating back to the 14th century. Also pieces of murals are on display like Agios Zacharias Halkis of the late 14th century.

Folklore Museum

It is located in Argyrokastrou square, in the old town of Rhodes. The Folklore Museum is located in the old town of Rhodes, covering the entire south side of Argyrokastrou square and housed in an edifice built in the Knights’ period. The perfectly preserved collection includes furniture, ceramics, embroideries and textiles, traditional costumes and other pieces of folk, traditional art of the Dodecanese.
